• Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM; 35 hours per week

ROLE IMPACT
This role serves as the primary point of contact for all benefits-related matters, ensuring accuracy and compliance in employee benefit administration. The HR & Benefits Specialist plays a pivotal part in driving employee engagement, managing HR functions, and supporting the organization through data-driven processes and detailed documentation. Success in this role is defined by accurate data handling, proactive benefits management, and strong internal support.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Lead annual benefits enrollment; liaise with brokers for updates and clarifications
• Facilitate new hire benefit orientation, COBRA changes, and process coverage updates
• Reconcile monthly benefit billing and handle invoice processing
• Manage 401k retirement plan, including compliance notices and annual audit
• Oversee FMLA and other leaves, ensuring proper documentation and manager communication
• Provide first-level employee relations support with coaching and documentation
• Develop leadership training and administer employee engagement programs and wellness events
• Conduct exit interviews, process separations, and manage return of company property
• Handle unemployment claims and general HR inquiries
• Generate ad hoc reports including turnover and exit interview data
• Administer employee surveys and compile year-over-year presentation insights
• Engage in SHRM/DallasHR initiatives when budget allows
• Perform additional related duties as assigned
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
• 3+ years HR/benefits enrollment experience
• Bachelor's degree required
• Excellent attention to detail and strong math skills
• High degree of accuracy in data handling
CORE TOOLS & SYSTEMS
• Microsoft Excel (including VLOOKUP)
• Paylocity (preferred)
• Familiarity with self-funded benefits plans (preferred)
