Insurance Specialist (Mortgage Servicing)
Location Fort Worth, TX | Remote-US (must reside locally)

COMPENSATION & SCHEDULE
• $35,000–$45,000 annually
• Monday–Friday, 8 AM–5 PM
• Full-time, direct hire

 

ROLE IMPACT
Join a highly regarded financial institution in Fort Worth as an Insurance Specialist and play a key role in ensuring customers’ property insurance accounts are accurately maintained. Your expertise will help support compliance with state, regulatory, and investor guidelines while delivering exceptional service to homeowners.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Research and process insurance exceptions including lender-placed coverage, disbursements, cancellations, and insufficient coverage issues
• Handle inbound and outbound calls to resolve customer inquiries
• Maintain and update insurance records at account boarding and policy renewal
• Coordinate with insurance vendors and issue timely payments for policies
• Resolve escalated escrow/impound concerns and communicate coverage details with agents and customers
• Audit and reconcile accounts, escalate potential risks to management, and process insurance refunds
• Monitor electronic data interchange (EDI) bill files and issue mass payments as needed

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
• 1+ years of experience with residential mortgage insurance and escrow
• Working knowledge of PMI, FHA, and HUD MI requirements
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel; MSP system experience preferred
• Excellent customer service, analytical, and organizational skills
• High attention to detail with data entry and 10-key proficiency
• Ability to adapt in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and work effectively under pressure

PREFERRED SKILLS
• Prior experience in mortgage servicing systems and insurance disbursements
• Strong problem-solving and escalation management abilities
