ROLE IMPACT
As an Access Advocate, you will play a pivotal role in supporting patients through the healthcare access process. You will ensure patients understand their insurance coverage, program services, and financial support options to begin therapy smoothly. Your work will directly impact patient outcomes through accurate documentation and compassionate communication.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Initiate outreach to patients to clarify insurance benefits and out-of-pocket responsibilities
• Educate patients on hub services that facilitate access to prescribed therapies
• Secure and document required oral or written patient consents per program guidelines
• Follow compliant scripts and call guides during patient and provider interactions
• Explain and enroll patients in copay assistance or financial support programs
• Manage a high volume of inbound and outbound patient support calls with professionalism

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
• Background in pharmacy or medical benefit reimbursement processes
• Familiarity with specialty medications or healthcare support services
• Clear communicator with strong empathy and ability to simplify complex topics
• Highly organized with strong case management and tracking abilities

CORE TOOLS & SYSTEMS
• CRM or case management platforms
• Insurance verification tools or payer portals
• Microsoft Office Suite
• Document imaging and management systems

PREFERRED SKILLS
• Experience handling large call volumes and resolving patient cases
• Proactive ownership of tasks with consistent follow-through
• Working knowledge of healthcare compliance standards
