Customer Service Representative – WIC Program
Location Dallas, TX | Onsite
Compensation & Schedule
• $17.82/hour
• Mon–Thurs: 9:30 AM–6:00 PM, Fri: 8:00 AM–4:30 PM
• One Sat/month: 7:30 AM–4:00 PM (after training)
• W2 employment

ROLE IMPACT
This position supports the City’s Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) Program by facilitating eligibility screenings, issuing benefits, and maintaining accurate participant records. Your work ensures vulnerable populations receive vital nutrition services with professionalism and care.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Conduct interviews and evaluations to determine WIC income and residency eligibility
• Issue WIC benefits (EBT), complete data entry in Texas WIN, and maintain accurate reports
• Collect health data (heights, weights, finger stick blood samples) and record results in XP software
• Greet and check in participants, provide accurate service information, and schedule appointments
• Maintain participant records, handle inbound calls, and perform general clerical support
• Screen immunization records and refer participants to appropriate health and social services

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
• High School Diploma or GED, MUST be bilingual
• 2 years' experience in healthcare, education, or social/community services
• Valid State of Texas Driver's License
• Ability to complete WIC nutrition training modules during probationary period

PREFERRED SKILLS
• Bilingual English/Spanish
• Knowledge of public health or social service programs
