Accounts Receivable Specialist
Location Nashville, TN or Phoenix, AZ | Hybrid (First 1–2 weeks onsite for training)
Compensation & Schedule
• $20+/hour
• 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday
• Contract-to-Hire, W2
• Start date: ASAP
ROLE IMPACT
This role supports financial accuracy and timely revenue collection by managing invoicing, payments, and customer account reconciliation. Success is defined by proactive resolution of discrepancies, consistent cash flow, and seamless support to the broader accounting team.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Process customer invoices and apply payments accurately in system
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies related to billing and account balances
• Communicate with clients to collect on overdue accounts and provide resolution support
• Respond professionally to inbound client calls and assist with account inquiries
• Support accounting team with project-based assignments and administrative tasks
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
• 1+ year of experience in accounts receivable or related accounting function
• High school diploma or equivalent; degree in accounting preferred
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work independently and collaborate in team environments
CORE TOOLS & SYSTEMS
• Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word)
• Invoicing and AR software (experience preferred)
• Phone systems for client communication
PREFERRED SKILLS
• Experience with Revenue Cycle Management (RCM)
• Self-motivated and investigative mindset
• Detail-oriented and team-oriented work style
