The Cash Processor plays a critical role in the timely and accurate processing of payments for loans in default. This position ensures funds are correctly applied, reconciled, and tracked while supporting compliance with financial and regulatory guidelines. Success is defined by high accuracy, minimal suspense balances, and consistent process improvement feedback to leadership.
Cash Processor II
Location: Fort Worth, TX | Hybrid - 1 month onsite, 1 month remote.
Compensation & Schedule
• $20–$24 per hour
• Monday–Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM
• W2, Seasonal/Temp
• Start Date: ASAP
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Process high-volume payments daily in priority order for defaulted loans
• Research, apply, and reconcile payments, including those from mail and branch drop boxes
• Balance online batches, complete daily deposit tasks, and investigate discrepancies
• Track and resolve suspense accounts and provide monthly reporting assistance
• Deliver wires between departments and monitor EDI payment applications
• Support ACH drafting, including phone handling and contract setup
• Maintain documentation systems and assist with special projects
• Identify and escalate potential risks or deficiencies to management
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
• 1+ years of experience in cash or payment processing
• Experience in Mortgage Servicing Default and posting cash using MSP
• Proficient in high-volume data entry and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
• Strong accuracy, analytical, and problem-solving skills
