COMPENSATION & SCHEDULE
• $17/hr
• 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM, Monday–Friday; must be flexible for overtime as needed
• Required availability Saturday, May 2 from 6:00 AM until project completion
• Short-term project: April 27 – May 2
• W2 employment
ROLE IMPACT
The Phone Clerk supports election operations during a time-sensitive, high-volume project. This role ensures polling sites receive accurate, real-time assistance while maintaining precise data entry and equipment coordination. Success is defined by responsive customer service, accurate information flow, and organized project support from setup through breakdown.
• Key Duties
• Answer incoming calls from polling locations and provide real-time support
• Perform basic data entry and audit records for accuracy
• Support election equipment setup and provide basic training assistance
• Circulate throughout the phone bank floor to assist team members as needed
• Assist with breakdown, organization, and storage of supplies at project close
• Minimum Qualifications
• Previous customer service or call center experience
• Basic computer proficiency with accurate data entry skills
• Ability to work extended hours, overtime, and required Saturday schedule
• Equipment & Work Environment
• Office-based phone bank environment
• Fast-paced, high-volume call setting
• Must be able to lift and move a 25 lb voting machine case on occasion
