Financial Assistance Specialist
Location Remote-US (2 days onsite training required)
Compensation & Schedule
• $19/hour

Role Impact
This role supports timely access to financial assistance programs by ensuring applications are processed accurately and in compliance with established policies. Success is measured by data accuracy, turnaround time, and adherence to regulatory and quality standards. The position plays a critical role in maintaining efficient departmental workflows while minimizing delays for applicants.

• Key Responsibilities
• Review and process financial assistance applications for completeness, accuracy, and policy compliance.
• Enter and maintain patient demographic and financial data accurately in Epic and related systems.
• Review proof of income and supporting documentation to determine eligibility.
• Upload, index, and manage electronic documents within document management systems.
• Contact applicants as needed to resolve missing or inconsistent information and document all activity and outcomes.

• Minimum Qualifications
• High school diploma or GED.
• Experience with data entry, clerical, administrative, or healthcare support work.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to meet productivity and quality standards.

• Core Tools & Systems
• Epic (electronic health record)
• Electronic document management systems
• Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Standard office and data entry systems

Preferred Skills
• Ability to interpret and consistently apply written policies and guidelines.
• Strong basic math, numeric, and typing skills.
• Professional communication skills and ability to work independently in a production-oriented environment.
