ROLE IMPACT
As a Medical Collector, you will play a critical role in ensuring timely and accurate collections on patient accounts and insurance claims. Your ability to maintain detailed records, follow up on outstanding payments, and counsel patients on financial arrangements will directly impact the financial health of the client’s operations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Perform collections on assigned patient and insurance accounts in compliance with procedures
• Contact patients, insurance companies, attorneys, and other stakeholders to resolve payment issues or set up payment plans
• Counsel patients on financial arrangements and respond to inquiries
• Maintain detailed records and documentation in the accounts receivable system
• Research and process accounts for potential write-off and present for management approval
• Communicate with collection affiliates and provide required documentation to credit bureaus
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
• 3–5 years of experience in medical collections, including insurance follow-up
• Proficiency with EPIC HB Resolute and claims processing
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Stable work history and experience handling sensitive patient financial data

PREFERRED SKILLS
• Experience managing high-volume AR accounts
• Familiarity with Texas healthcare billing regulations
• Knowledge of patient advocacy or financial counseling best practices
