Professional Accountant - Billing
Location: Irving, Texas
Compensation & Schedule
• $23/hour – $30/hour (Based Upon Experience)
• Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM (Possibility for overtime hours for month end)
• W2, Temp-to-Hire
Role Impact: This role supports accurate revenue recognition and billing operations to ensure financial integrity and compliance. You will drive timely month-end close, maintain ASC 606 compliance, and strengthen the opportunity-to-revenue lifecycle. Success in this role means precise billing execution, reliable reporting, and proactive collaboration across Finance, Legal, Sales, and Operations.
Key Responsibilities
• Record revenue transactions in compliance with ASC 606 (Revenue Recognition Accounting Standards Codification)
• Support month-end close including manual billings, adjustments, ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) uploads, AR (Accounts Receivable) reconciliations, and financial analysis
• Prepare monthly financial statements and ad-hoc reports for leadership and audit support
• Monitor AR aging, escalate collection issues, and resolve billing discrepancies
• Partner cross-functionally to review contracts and ensure accurate billing setup and documentation
Minimum Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business
• 2+ years of billing experience
• 1–3 years of general or operational accounting experience
Core Tools & Systems
• Oracle Financial Systems (ERP)
• Salesforce (CRM – Customer Relationship Management)
• Microsoft Excel (advanced: data tables, queries, pivot tables, VLOOKUPs/XLOOKUPs)
• Financial reporting and data query tools
• Contract review and revenue documentation systems
Preferred Skills
• Experience reading and interpreting billable contracts
• Background in high-volume or large-company accounting environments
• Experience supporting system conversions or process automation initiatives
