Mechanical Assembler

COMPENSATION & SCHEDULE
• $22/hour
• Monday - Friday, 7:00 am - 3:30 pm / Flexible for OT as needed
• W2 employment
ROLE IMPACT: The Mechanical Assembler supports operations within the Vertical Assembly and Service Center (VASC) by building and preparing structural components for distribution. This role ensures assembled products meet quality and safety standards through accurate assembly, testing, and adjustments. Success is defined by production efficiency, adherence to safety protocols, and consistent quality output in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
• Assemble mechanical and structural components according to specifications and work instructions
• Perform functional testing and make mechanical adjustments as needed to ensure quality standards
• Package finished assemblies for shipment and support material handling activities
• Operate production equipment and machinery in a safe and compliant manner
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safety-compliant workspace
Requirements
• High School Diploma or GED required
• 1+ year of mechanical or small assembly experience required
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs regularly and up to 75 lbs occasionally required
• Workshop and warehouse environment with erratic temperature control (hot in summer, cold in winter)
• Operation of production machines and warehouse material handling equipment (no forklift experience required)
• Regular heavy lifting, truck loading/unloading, prolonged standing, repetitive bending/reaching, and ladder climbing
• Required PPE: steel toe boots, safety glasses, safety vest, and other protective equipment per OSHA guidelines
Preferred Skills
• Experience in packaging and preparing materials for shipment
• Strong verbal communication and teamwork skills
• High sense of urgency, integrity, reliability, and schedule flexibility
