• $17.82 per hour
• Schedule Option 1: Monday – Thursday | 7:30 AM – 6:00 PM
• Schedule Option 2: Monday – Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• Full-Time | W2


ROLE IMPACT
The Office Assistant II supports daily operations across multiple departments. This role keeps records organized, processes payments and reports, and provides helpful service to the public and internal teams. Success means staying organized, handling tasks accurately, and delivering professional customer service in a fast-paced office environment.


Key Responsibilities
• Complete office support tasks such as forms, logs, data entry, cash collection, and report preparation.
• Maintain organized filing systems and daily activity reports.
• Greet visitors and answer phones; assist citizens, staff, vendors, and other departments with clear and professional communication.
• Prepare, review, and proofread letters, memos, and reports for supervisor approval.
• Sort and distribute incoming and outgoing mail, including inter-office and U.S. mail; deliver mail to city locations as needed.
• Operate copiers and other office equipment; provide copy services upon request.
• Support payroll functions and assist other Office Assistants with complex tasks when needed.


Minimum Qualifications
• At least 1 year of experience in administrative or office support roles.
• Experience using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly in person and by phone.

• Cash handling and reporting systems


Preferred Skills
• Experience working in a municipal or public-sector office.
• Bilingual Spanish (preferred but not required).
 • Experience supporting payroll processes.
