Accounting Specialist
This role exists to ensure accurate and timely processing of accounts payable and accounts receivable, supporting daily financial operations and cash flow. The AP/AR Accounting Specialist plays a key part in maintaining organized records, accurate billing, and reliable reporting. Success in this position means invoices are processed efficiently, customer accounts are current, and financial data is dependable for decision-making.

Compensation & Schedule
• $23.00 - $25.00 per hour
• Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM
• Full-time, W2
Key Responsibilities
• Record and process accounts payable invoices with accuracy and timeliness
• Review, post, and manage customer invoices and accounts receivable activity
• Update and maintain monthly sales and freight billing data
• Process and analyze shipping costs, including vendor expense review
• Assist with bank transactions as needed, including ACH and wire transfers
Minimum Qualifications
• 1+ year of experience in accounts payable and/or accounts receivable
• Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills and comfort working with financial data
• Associate degree in Accounting or related field preferred; equivalent AP/AR experience considered in lieu of degree
Core Tools & Systems
• Microsoft Excel (intermediate formulas, data organization, reporting)
• Accounting/ERP systems (general ledger, AP/AR modules)
• Payroll system for basic entry review (limited support only)
• Online banking platforms for ACH and wire processing
Preferred Skills
• Experience analyzing vendor expenses or freight/shipping costs
• HR and payroll processing
• Process improvement mindset with the ability to create efficiencies
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify discrepancies
