Collections Agent
Location - Remote (Must reside in TX, AZ, GA, TN, FL, NC or SC)
COMPENSATION & SCHEDULE
• $23.66 per hour
• Monday - Friday: 11:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m. EST
• Rotational Saturday once per month: 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. EST
• W2, temp to hire
• Start Date: May 18, 2026
ROLE IMPACT: The Collections Specialist plays a critical role in resolving delinquent mortgage accounts while ensuring compliance with investor, regulatory, and company standards. This position balances financial analysis, negotiation, and customer service to help borrowers identify sustainable payment solutions. Success is measured by resolution rates, documentation accuracy, compliance adherence, and the ability to manage sensitive financial conversations professionally.
Key Responsibilities
• Conduct inbound and outbound collection calls across all stages of mortgage delinquency
• Analyze borrower financial information to negotiate payment arrangements or retention options
• Research and resolve issues contributing to account delinquency, disputes, or discrepancies
• Maintain detailed documentation of all customer interactions and account activity
• Review accounts for compliance with internal policies, investor guidelines, Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA), and bankruptcy regulations
Minimum Qualifications
• High School Diploma or GED required
• 1–2 years of collections, mortgage servicing, or financial services experience required
• Working knowledge of Fair Debt Collection Laws and U.S. Bankruptcy Code procedures required
• Must have a reliable internet connection
• Candidates must reside in one of the following states: TX, AZ, GA, TN, FL, NC or SC
Equipment & Work Environment
• Client will provide the equipment for your WFH set up
• Extended periods of computer use and phone-based customer interaction
• Must adhere to compliance and information security policies

• Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
