Pay: $19/hr – $25/hr+ (based on experience)
Schedule: 10:00 PM – 6:00 AM
Note: Must be comfortable working a 7 on / 7 off schedule
Job Summary:
Supports pharmacy operations by assisting in the delivery of professional pharmacy services to patients, hospital staff, and the community.
Key Responsibilities:
Clerical Duties:
- Answer phones and assist with inquiries
- Record, file, and report pharmacy activities and services
Central PO Area:
- Pre-package and compound non-sterile tablets and liquids
- Compound hazardous medications
- Process orders through pharmacy inventory systems accurately and timely
Omnicell:
- Perform advanced functions within automated dispensing cabinets
- Maintain proper stock rotation and expiration date management
- Manage controlled substances and narcotics inventory using CSM systems
Sterile Compounding:
- Prepare advanced sterile products, including batch and syringe preparations
- Support pharmacy satellites and first-dose dispensing
- Compound TPN and chemotherapy medications
Epic System:
- Process billing and credits
- Run batch check and operational reports
- Handle refill requests from nursing staff
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Current PTCB Pharmacy Technician Certification required
- Active Texas State Board of Pharmacy Registration required
- ACPE IV Certification required
